Malacca dubbed “The Historic State”,is a state in Malaysia located in the southern region of the Malay Peninsula, next to the Strait of Malacca.The state is bordered by Negeri Sembilan to the north and west and Johor to the south. The exclave of Cape Rachado also borders Negeri Sembilan to the north. Its capital is Malacca City, which is 148 kilometres (92 miles) southeast of Malaysia’s capital city Kuala Lumpur, 235 kilometres (146 miles) northwest of Johor’s largest city Johor Bahru, and 95 km (59 miles) northwest of Johor’s second largest city, Batu Pahat. This historical city centre has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 7 July 2008.

Day Tour:  Melaka
Pick up at any hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Proceed to Melaka, your first stop today, visit Cheng Hoong Teng temple, largest Chinese temple in Malaysia. Next, visit Baba and Nyonya House Museum. The museum features a number of crafts and handiwork, including woodworking pieces, porcelain and furniture. Menara Taming Sari, measuring 110 metres in height, its revolving structure offers a 360-degree panoramic view of Malacca town and beyond. Take a relaxing walk along the newly built esplanade along the Melaka River. Situated next to Jonker Street, the river offers a river cruise that brings you across the winding Melaka River to see the breathtaking views around Melaka City. Transcend into a whole new level of experience as the lights, sights and sounds of the city explode with vigour and youth, and enjoy the cool breeze caress your cheeks. Visit the Maritime Museum, which resembles large ship visible miles away. It highlights Melaka’s importance as the centre of trade routes between the East and West, exhibiting the many rare and unique artefacts, relics and heritage remains from the golden days when Melaka was the maritime dominance in the region. Melaka Sultanate Palace, the museum showcases more than 1300 items of Malacca’s past. There items include photographs, weaponry, drawings, musical instruments and gifts from foreign emissaries. All these items are displayed in eight different chambers and in three galleries on the three floors of the palace. Transfer back to hotel in Kuala Lumpur.
